About Phill Davidson
Phill Davidson is an experienced Supply Chain and Integrated Logistics specialist who has worked in the Naval Defence industry for over 40 years. For the last 12 years he has been working in Canada as Babcock Supply Chain Director, managing cross-country teams located in: Victoria, Ottawa, Winnipeg, and Halifax, and he is responsible for all supply chain activities in Marine and Aviation. He is also accountable for the efficient integration of Babcock Canada’s Supply Chain with that of the parent company, Babcock International Group.
He relocated to Canada in 2009 and was initially responsible for setting up and delivering submarine equipment maintenance, procurement and supply chain functions in support of the Victoria In-Service Support Contract.
He began his professional career in the UK as a government apprentice, progressing through various roles including production manager responsible for factory workshops, constructive trades within surface ships, and nuclear submarine refitting. He has spent over 15 years managing business improvement projects, including shipyard infrastructure facility cost reduction initiatives, and major projects for the development of the submarine planning and production principles that are still in use today, both in the UK and internationally.
