In 2023, Babcock Canada was delighted to be awarded a 10-year multi-million dollar contract by Ascent Helicopters Ltd. to support Ascent in their contract for the delivery of rotary-wing air ambulance services for British Columbia Emergency Health Services. As the Approved Maintenance Organization on this contract, Babcock will be provisioning seven Leonardo AW169s to fulfill the BCHEMS contract.
We are thrilled to support Ascent Helicopters as we work towards providing modern, reliable, and mission ready air ambulance services to the province of British Columbia, expanding our Canadian aviation footprint.

To deliver this contract, we have expanded our Approved Maintenance Organization to include Leonardo AW169 maintenance functions. We are seeking courageous and collaborative talent to join our team at our five operation bases in British Columbia Kamloops, Parksville, Prince George, Prince Rupert, and Vancouver.
