Babcock Partners with Student Association for First-Ever Virtual Case Competition

Babcock is proud to partner with the Telfer Marketing Association, a student association at the University of Ottawa, for their first-ever virtual case competition, Pitch Your Brand. The event is designed to help students gain experience working with industry in situations that allow them to put their classroom theory to the test. The event, which has taken place in person in years past, will take place in a virtual environment the weekend of October 3 – 4, 2020.

Continued support

Babcock supported the student association for their inaugural case competition, which was held in person, in the spring of 2019. Watch Pitch Your Brand 2019 unfold here:

Working with the next generation

The competition looks to bring students from various disciplines of commerce at the University of Ottawa, namely marketing. They will be faced with a challenge relevant to marketing in the current environment and given only 24 hours to provide a solution. The groups, of 2 students, will work throughout the day on Saturday to ‘crack the case,’ leveraging the case content as well as discussion with industry experts. Their final deliverable will be a 10 minute presentation, delivered virtually, on Sunday, which wraps up their ideas from the previous day’s brainstorm and clearly presents them to the judges.

Good luck to this year’s participants, we look forward to posing a unique challenge!
