Babcock introduces ‘Team Victoria-Class’

For over 12 years, Babcock Canada, Seaspan Victoria Shipyards, and BMT, have collaborated with the Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF) Cape Scott, the FMF Cape Breton, and the Department of National Defence, and Public Services and Procurement Canada to maintain, refit, and upgrade Canada’s Victoria-Class Submarines. Through the hard work and dedication of this team, we have helped Canada grow and strengthen its strategic submarine sustainment capabilities. Together, we have built a truly world-class submarine Centre of Excellence, of which we can all be very proud.

Babcock is pleased to announce that going forward, the alliance between Babcock Canada, Seaspan Victoria Shipyards, and BMT will be called ‘Team Victoria-Class’. Team Victoria-Class is a trusted, long-standing partner in the Victoria-Class Submarine Sustainment Enterprise.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of Team Victoria-Class for their hard work and commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and highly capable submarines to the Royal Canadian Navy.”

Mike Whalley, President of Babcock Canada
