Anthony March
Vice President Marine & Mission Systems
Tony holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the Royal Military College of Canada, a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University, a Master of Defence Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada, and a Master of Science in Marine Engineering from University College London. He is a graduate of the UCL Submarine Design Course and the Canadian Joint Command and Staff Program. Tony has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 2013.
Tony joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1997 as a Marine Systems Engineer. After graduating from the Royal Military College of Canada and completing initial occupational training, he deployed to the Arabian Gulf in HMCS Montréal, part of Operation APOLLO, Canada’s contribution to the international campaign against terrorism.
In 2003, Tony volunteered for Submarine Service. After completing the training and qualifying requirements in 2004, he served as the Marine Systems Engineering Officer in HMC Submarines Victoria, Windsor, and Corner Brook. Subsequently, Tony completed various offshore postings in Halifax and was selected for Post-Graduate Training in the UK. Posted to Ottawa, he held a variety of staff positions, culminating as the Deputy Director, Maritime Engineering Program Management (Submarines).
Tony March joined Babcock Canada in June 2018, entering the industry after retiring from the Royal Canadian Navy after 21 years of military service. In January 2020, Tony took on the role of Vice President of Engineering Services and in April 2023, the role of Vice-President, Engineering and Technology. In 2024, Tony assumed his current role of Vice President Marine and Mission Systems.
