As Chief Financial Officer, John is responsible for developing financial strategy, internal and external financial reporting, audit compliance, budgeting/forecasting, financial bid support, payroll administration and tax compliance. He is chief negotiator responsible for agreeing costing rates annually with PSPC and is also responsible for M&A valuations and analysis. He is a Director on the Babcock Canada Board.

Prior to joining Babcock in 2008, John was CFO at DEW Engineering & Development Inc. a privately owned Canadian defence firm that provides design, complex manufacturing, and in-service support services to DND as well as commercial customers in Canada and the USA.

John holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CMA).
