ShipTech Forum 2021

Babcock is delighted to announce that Tony March, Vice President of Engineering Services, will be a featured speaker at Vanguard’s virtual ShipTech Forum 2021, taking place February 25th to the 26th.

The 8th annual ShipTech Forum, organized by Vanguard Media, is intended to showcase emerging technologies, address a range of marine and shipbuilding issues as well as ship repair, and the advantages they provide for growth and export.

This event facilitates meaningful dialogue between industry, government, and military, so as to provide stakeholders with the knowledge and share lessons learned from a technological perspective with the aim to showcase successful investments in cutting-edge technologies.

Tony will be part of a panel discussion titled “In-Service Support to Fleets,” on February 26th from 14:00 to 15:15 EST. The panel will be discussing Canadian contracts, and how they work to support the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force. Panelists will also include representatives from Thales and Peraton.

Tony March joined Babcock Canada in June 2018, entering the industry after retiring from the Royal Canadian Navy after 21 years of military services. In January 2020, Tony took on the role of Vice President of Engineering Services. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the Royal Military Collage of Canada, a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University, Master of Defence Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada, and a Master of Science in Marine Engineering from the University College London. He is a graduate of the UCL Submarine Design Course and the Canadian Joint Command and Staff Program and has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 2013.
