Babcock to sponsor the 29th Annual Vimy Gala Reception in support of the Canadian Armed Forces

Babcock is pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring the 29th Annual Vimy Gala reception in support of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). This event will be hosted by the Conference of Defence Associations Institute, and will take place at the Canadian War Museum on November 8, 2019.

This event has been held annually since 1991 to honour Canada’s fallen heroes, and to bring together active and retired members of the CAF with future officers currently enrolled at the Royal Military Colleges, as well as industry and government leaders and international guests of honour.

This year, the event will be celebrating Richard B. Fadden’s exceptional lifetime contribution to Canadian security and defence. Mr. Fadden was the former National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister and CSIS Director. During his time, he was courageous in bringing national security concerns and threats to the public’s attention. Mr. Fadden also mandated budget reductions in a way that maintains Canada’s military capabilities and ensures that the CAF would have the capability to fulfill its missions.

Jake Jacobson, Vice President of Communications & Government Relations, will be speaking during the awards ceremony, and giving his remarks on behalf of Babcock Canada.
