Babcock partners with WiDS to support the Annual Scholarship & Awards Breakfast

Babcock is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Women in Defence and Security (WiDS) Association, to support the Annual Scholarship & Awards Breakfast that will take place on March 5 in Ottawa. This event draws many women and men across the defence and security sector to connect, reflect, and celebrate our collective progress in creating a diverse and inclusive community.

Since 2006, WIDS has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to women studying defence and security fields in an effort to promote the advancement of women in the defence and security sector. This year marks a change in direction by WiDS. The event’s previous name, the WiDS Memorial Scholarship Breakfast, has been updated to the “WiDS Annual Scholarship & Awards Breakfast” to reflect the event’s evolution. What used to be a memorial of impactful women throughout the defence and security sector’s history will now focus on recognizing excellence in women who are making an impact today. While still acknowledging the women who brought us to this point, this year WiDS will be celebrating future leaders in Canada’s defence and security industry.
