Babcock partners with WiDS to promote women in the defence industry

Babcock is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Women in Defence & Security (WIDS) to support the association’s 2019 Memorial Scholarship.

On March 7, 2019, the WiDS Special Memorial Scholarship Breakfast will honour women who have lost their lives in the line of duty because of suicide, and those who continue to struggle with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mental illness. Collectively, with the support of both government and industry, the Canadian Armed Forces, Policing and First Responder agencies, WiDS has assembled a program that will honour those who have died, it will describe efforts highlighting programs that build resilience, and recount stories of hope that will inspire a future where, working together, we can deliver better support services to women employed throughout the defence and security fields.
